Safelist Community

Just saw the news that Skype is officially shutting down on 5th May 2025.

Not gonna lie, I’m not too happy about it.

I know a lot of safelist and viral mailer owners and users still use Skype to stay in touch, especially for quick chats and group discussions. It’s not perfect, but it’s been part of the flow for years.

Now they want everyone to switch to Teams. Ugh. It just doesn’t feel the same.

Curious, anyone else here still using Skype for safelist stuff? Are you moving to Teams or looking for something else?

I’m still super new to the safelist and viral mailer scene, but I’ve noticed a lot of site owners use Skype for support. I’ve been using it for other work stuff too, so this kinda sucks.

Now I’m also looking around for a good alternative, something that’s not too complicated but still good for quick chats.

I don't know why they want to close it. I love skype

I guess I am sad about skype not being around after May,
Just got finally use to it. Teams doesn't have a app for Chromebooks..

I switched to Teams; but I don't use it much.
