When I first started using safelists, I made the classic mistake of sending out an email without checking if my link actually worked. I was so focused on the wording of the ad that I didn’t test the link before sending. Wasted a bunch of credits and got zero results. Lesson learned: always test your link before you hit send.

I’m curious to hear from others – what was your first safelist or viral mailer mistake? And more importantly, what did you learn from it?

My first blunder was dumping all my credits into one go—I barely tweaked the copy—and then blasting that same email through every safelist/viralmailer I could find. Total flop. Now I spread my credits over multiple smaller sends, really hone the message for each list, and test different versions.

My first mistake was NOT using mailers MUCH sooner!
I waited till 2013 to begin using them. I have earned
thousands from using them since then though.
