What's your morning routine before checking your safelists? - mitova4819 - 07-05-2025

Hey everyone!
I thought it’d be fun (and maybe even a little inspiring) to share what our mornings look like before we dive into the world of safelists and viral mailers.

For me, it usually starts around 6:30 AM. I grab a coffee, stretch a bit, and then spend 10–15 minutes reading or journaling to get my mind focused. I try not to look at emails or social media right away — otherwise my brain goes straight into "reaction mode" and I lose control of the day.

Once I’m settled, I do a quick check on my scheduled mailings and inboxes — but only after I’ve grounded myself a bit.

Anyone else have a morning ritual that helps set the tone before the safelist grind begins? Do you just roll out of bed and straight into emails, or do you have a pre-check routine that helps you focus?

Would love to hear how you all start your day!

My mornings are a bit of a work in progress, but I've found that having some kind of routine really helps keep me sane before diving into the safelist chaos. I usually wake up around 7:00 AM, make some tea (not a coffee person yet), and do a quick walk or stretch just to wake my body up. After that, I’ll spend a few minutes reviewing my to-do list for the day so I have a clear focus.

I try not to open any inboxes or mailers until at least 30–45 minutes into the morning. Like you said, it's so easy to go into reaction mode if you jump in too fast. Once I'm grounded, I check stats from the previous day’s mailings, then schedule out anything that needs to go live for the day.

It’s cool seeing how others approach this, definitely picking up a few ideas here!

Looking forward to reading more morning rituals from everyone else.
